Back in April this year I was asked if I could carry out hair and makeup combining two different looks. One a really strong striking look and a really natural "no makeup" natural skinned look.
I really enjoyed this shoot. It took place in West Oxfordshire, Witney and Minster Lovell Ruins. Sneaky peak into some of the images. There will be a lot more to follow with some really striking looks but here is a little taster.

I haven't had a chance to blog about some of the weddings I have carried out this year as I have been so busy with sending out quotations and coordinating stylists and makeup artists that it has not given me a lot of breathing space in between.
I have been really busy with Weddings since 1 February this year so I will run a blog showing some of the images from these weddings as and when i get some through to me.
I have also been busy on Fashion Photoshoots and Wedding Styled Shoots which I will be updating on here too.
So bear with me I am sorry I havent been able to keep everyone informed of the Events Jules Makeup Artistry & Hair Design has been up to.
You will have noticed that Jules Makeup Artistry & Hair Design has expanded due to demands for Weddings and Themed Events and I have a lovely team of Hair and Makeup Artists that represent me who have worked hard at their profession and i'm proud to have the all on board.
We have some amazingly fun times ahead and hope to make some announcements and show photos very soon

Don't forget to obtain the June Edition of Vogue. There are Advertising Features towards the back of the Magazine and my business has been chosen alongside some others under the Make-up with Vogue Category. This was exciting and unexpected and there are some more very exciting things to come.

I will soon be offering One To One Make Up Lessons. These will be held in my Studio Area (more refined details to follow over the next few weeks). The One to One Lessons will include Preparing the Skin and Foundations Suitable for Everyday Wear or Bridal Looks or for a More Vintage Look. The Products Selected for use in these Lessons will also be available to purchase.
I will have 2 brands available to purchase both are extremely beautiful ranges and both offer some gorgeous products.
The Art Deco Range is a High End Range which I used at the British Soap Awards last year and havent looked back since. It has hollywood glamour stamped all over it which works well with my Business Styling.
Me Me Me is the Boutique Range that I will be using for One To One Lessons. The Packaging is beautiful and they offer everything you need for a beautiful Bridal Look or Vintage Look. Because this brand is very on trend and has a lower price point it would be more affordable for lessons where you wish to purchase the Makeup afterwards. The Packaging also works well with my Hollywood Glamour and Vintage Styling for my business.
These Lessons will be available as Hen Packages which will be offered in a very unique environment but fun all the same. More information to follow on this.
Once everything is ready and up and running I will announce on the blog and advertise more widely
I have had enquiries for Overseas Weddings for Lessons in Hair Styling which I am also happy to undertake once all the training areas are available.

I worked with Londons Leading Wedding Dress Designer Ritva Westenius and the designer Chenka Westenius who was such a wonderful person with a fantastic sense of humour. Her dresses were out of this world, absolutely stunning beyond belief and I was honoured to be involved in the Catwalk for Hair and Makeup working side by side with the lovely Sarah Yeo. Ritva has won many awards and most recently for Best Designer Retailer. I carried out hair and makeup for the dark haired model and red haired model both on the left and the hair for the blonde haired model to the right. They were all wonderful to work with.
To be involved in this Event was such an amazing opportunity for me and to meet up with what are considered as the Best Wedding Suppliers in the Business.
I have a few images to post and only wish I had some close up pictures of the work I carried out. It was so busy and the Models were Dancers that brought the whole event to life on the Catwalk. One Word - Breathtaking!!

Last week I decided to go on an Advanced Bridal Hair Course to discover some new trends and ideas to inspire any brides that have booked with me. It is so easy to go for traditional hair styles but it is nice to be unique and to offer hair designs bespoke to every person.
I had a great time and brushed up on old and new techniques and have already used them over the weekend at a Wedding and at the Luxury Wedding Show which I will talk about later
Take a look at the styles used on the block

Well it has been a while since I posted on here. I apologise for not being up-to-date but it has been non-stop with weddings and trials and other events.
I will take you back to Mid February when I was asked by Jodie Cooling Photography, Glow Love Lights, R and J Photography and Mae Bridal Boutique to carry out a Vintage Gatsby Inspired Photoshoot at Eynsham Hall.
I work with Mae Bridal Boutique based in the Oxfordshire Town of Witney, regularly with Accessory Events and Photoshoots as we both have a passion for Beautiful and Classic Vintage Bridal Looks and the dresses in her stunning Boutique are breathtaking. If you haven't made an appointment with Melanie Lloyd for your Wedding Dress trials you will not be disappointed when you do.
It was an amazing Sunday afternoon and I was honoured to be involved. It went so well it even featured in The Cotswold Wedding Blog so click on it to have a little read.
In the meantime I will post some of the pictures from the shoot

It has been a remarkably busy week this week with Wedding Trials and my first Wedding of the Season was on 1 February 2014 at Eynsham Hall. It was a wonderful day and great atmosphere. Unfortunately the weather was a little blustery but that did not dampen the spirit of the Bride and she looked beautiful in her lace gown. Her hair was very elegantly entwined at the back with beautiful pearls to set it off nicely. I will post pictures at a later date alongside testimonial.
It has also been very busy with Wedding Requests for 2014 more than I could have imagined and I have secured five bookings in the diary already for 2015. I really do not like to turn people away for Weddings but at the moment I am there to give a personal one-to-one service in Bridal and Vintage Hair Design and Makeup and possibly in the future I would be able to accommodate a few extra Weddings but I feel I do not want to lose that personal service and professional touch that I offer at present.
2014 is looking to be an amazing year for me. I have a lot of Weddings booking in the diary in some beautiful locations. I am so lucky to be based on the edge of the Cotswolds to be able to cater to some of these breathtaking venues.
I have a Studio area established for Wedding Bookings where the Bride may not live locally or maybe travelling from abroad and coming over here for the trial so I can offer this service to the Bride in peace and quiet and comfort away from the Prospective Partner. I also have other exciting plans in relation to this which will be underway in the very near future which link into some of the other services that I offer. All the plans have been put into place for this.
I have another week of Wedding Trials coming up and a wonderful Photoshoot planned at Eynsham Hall alongside Mae Bridal and Jodie Cooling Photography this week. Exciting times ahead.

The Wedding Fair at The Randolph Hotel was wonderful. The Venue is so beautiful inside and the Catwalk show for the Bridal Dresses and Hair and Makeup went really well. The fact that the catwalk was in the same vicinity that I was stationed was fantastic so I could see the whole look pulled together.
There were a lot of Brides there wanting hair and makeup for the Summer. I have a few spaces left in the Summer Months but it has been very busy and I dislike having to turn people away. I do refer onto other Hair and Makeup Artists when this happens though and have now secured a few bookings for 2015 already.
